WHAT SONG INSPIRES YOU RIGHT NOW

There are so many songs that inspire me. What song right now inspires you? Post it here or reply on Facebook. I would love to hear from my friends what song moves you. Share a verse or two in the song that really moves you if you like.

Does not matter the genre or if it is new or old. Let’s share with each other that song that moves us.

Music truly is a gift from God. Music touches our soul. It can move us to tears, inspire us to take on a great challenge. It can teach us.

Here is the song that has been inspiring me:

Oceans by Hillsong

And I will call upon Your name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise
My soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours, and You are mine

  1. Casting Crowns
    “praise you in this storm”

    As the thunder rolls
I barely hear Your whisper through the rain
    “I’m with you”
    And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
    And takes away

  2. I was just singing the old hymn, “Without Him”. Without Him, I could do nothing; Without Him I’d surely fail. Without Him I would be drifting, Like a ship without a sail.” Jesus, O Jesus! Do you know Him today? Do not turn Him away. O Jesus, O Jesus! Without Him, how lost I would be.” I love some of the older ones!! 🙂 Christi H.

  3. I need you more. I have always loved that song. My granddaughter Reagan sang it at a recital this weekend and ,of course, it was beautiful!

I need you more, more than yesterday, I need you more, more than words can say. I need you more than ever before. I need you Lord , I need you Lord.

  4. Two
Two Songs. ” Oh What a Savior” Earnie Hasse and “On The Other Side of the Cross”. Statler Brothers.

  5. Many hymns and songs inspire me – The following are two of my favorites.

    1) Blessed Assurance: “Blessed assurance-Jesus is mine ……..This is my story, this is my song praising my Savior all the day long.”
    2) He Touched Me: “……He touched me and made me whole…..”

  6. “Oh What A Savior”
    O what a Savior, O hallelujah
His heart was broken on Calvary
    His hands were nail scarred
    His side was riven
He gave His life-blood for even me.
    -And-
    “Praise His Name”
When you’re up against a wall
And your mountain seems so tall
And you realize that life’s not always fair
You can run away and hide
    Let the old man decide
    Chorus:
Or you can change your circumstances with a prayer
    You can overcome
By the blood of the lamb
And by the word of your testimony
    You’ll see the darkness go
As your faith begins to grow
You’re not alone, so how can you be lonely

  7. Here are a few that really speak to me right now:

Your Grace Finds Me (Matt Redman) -“There in the darkest night of the soul. There in the sweetest songs of victory Your grace finds me, Yes your grace finds me”

Oh Our Lord (All Sons and Daughters and Paul Baloche)

Wreckage (Wes Schrock and River Valley Youth) – loving this song right now and especially that it was written and recorded by a young man that I think is phenomenally talented and is having a huge impact on the kingdom.

Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing (just about anyone’s version) – “Jesus sought me when a stranger, wandering from the fold of God; He, to rescue me from danger, interposed His precious blood.”

  8. Mandisa Overcomer The same Man, the Great I am
    The one who overcame death
    Is living inside of You
So just hold tight, fix your eyes
On the one who holds your life
    There’s nothing He can’t do
    He’s telling You

  9. I Can’t Even Walk Without You Holding My Hand and my other favorite is There’s Just Something About That Name.

  10. “and Lord hast the Day when my faith shall be sight. The clouds be rolled back like a scroll. The Trump shall resound and the Lord shall descend, praise the Lord it is well with my soul.”

When you hear the entire story of what this author was enduring when this song was written it always inspires me to keep my eyes downstream and not focus on the circumstance in front of me. Also I have never heard a better description of Christ returning.

  11. It is not mine to question the judgments of my Lord, It is but mine to follow the leadings of His Word, But if to go or stay, or whether here or there, I’ll be, with my Saviour, content anywhere. *IF JESUS GOES WITH ME*
